Volunteer medical team along with Midland Doctors supports an ICU in Pakistan, to help a pregnant mother to safely deliver her child and be successfully resuscitated and managed in consultation with the international experts in the Midland Doctors team. The 29-year-old pregnant lady was brought in with fever, soar throat, shortness of breath, 32 weeks pregnant and was confirmed to be COVID-19 positive. Her health deteriorated and was shifted to ICU on the 19th of June 2020. She underwent a Cesarean Section delivery in the ICU and the baby was shifted to the nursery. A week later her conditioned worsened when the Midland Doctors were consulted for advice by front-line clinicians on the ground.

She is now stable and has been out of the ventilator. We hope she recovers soon and can be reunited with her baby. Midland Doctors provides virtual consultation to many Intensive Care Units in Pakistan namely in Peshawar, Faisalabad, Quetta and Mirpur.

The volunteer doctors from the UAE and the US Dr. Nadeem Rahman and Dr. Syed Shabbir Haider have provided their expertise to help many other patients as well through Virtual consultations arranged by the Midland Doctors.
