Midland Doctors introduces Triage services for Appointments

by | Jun 23, 2020 | Blog, News & Events

The Midland Doctors Medical Institute is serving the patients of Muzaffarabad, by Telephone and Video Triage and offering medical advice to patients by identifying COVID and Non Covid patients. The patients are happy to communicate in their local languages and this system is more effective to maintain social distancing with the use of appointment based consultations at the hospital. The patients are assessed by medical officers working at the MDMI through telephone and video calls on the advertised numbers, and if they need to consult with the doctor personally they are provided with a nearest possible appointment.

The Midland Doctors have been giving free healthcare to the deserving and the poor, utilising the funds raised from our kind donors and well wishers. The patients currently with COVID symptoms are being guided to the Government facilities for treatment and shall provide all the necessary precautions in dealing with asymptomatic patients.

So far the Triage has had visitors trickle into the hospital on a daily basis, our nursing and medical team shall be assessing to rule out COVID on the basis of history and vitals. They have been trained to manage Typical and Atypical patients particularly in various age categories.

How can I help Midland Doctors®?

We are always in need of donations to help run our charity hospital in Muzaffarabad whilst also participating in many other charitable projects across the world. Of course, not all contributions are monetary. Your time and effort to help fundraise, manage and drive our organisation forward will always be welcomed and appreciated!
