PACS technology installation

Another exciting technology advancement for the Midland Doctors!

PACS (picture archiving and communication system) is a healthcare technology for the short- and long-term storage, retrieval, management, distribution and presentation of medical images.

We, at Midland Doctors, are currently implementing the first phases of our PACS and radiology information systems utilising the experience of our Trustee Executives,  Rahim Amin – Radiographer/Sonographer and Khalid Latief – Consultant Radiologist along with Tanveer Arif  – IT and PACS application specialist. Rahim, Khalid and Tanveer are working closely together whilst 3747 miles apart. Rahim has travelled out to our hospital to oversee the implementation of the system (travel expenses all paid for by Rahim himself).

Collaboration with our Consultant Radiologist will enable us to provide seamless care for the patients visiting the medical institute.

This technology will enable us to diagnose pathology using imaging, by volunteer Radiographers back here in the UK.

How can I help Midland Doctors®?

We are always in need of donations to help run our charity hospital in Muzaffarabad whilst also participating in many other charitable projects across the world. Of course, not all contributions are monetary. Your time and effort to help fundraise, manage and drive our organisation forward will always be welcomed and appreciated!
