Midland Doctors Association UK Chairman Dr Iftikhar once again flew out to Pakistan to oversee the collaborations that Midland Doctors had embarked upon. “We had a meeting with Prof Arif of the Pakistan Paediatric Association to discuss our recent collaboration. He showed us the detailed inventory of patients who have been vaccinated with vaccines provided by Midland Doctors Association UK. He also showed us the invoices of vaccines bought with Midland Doctors Association UK funds. We later moved to a camp of internally displaced people situated in a school outside of Karachi. Here we distributed 300 packs to support the work of the PPA in looking after these destitute children. It was an exhausting day but we were very pleased with the collaborations to date.”
Dr Iftikhar will also be checking on the progress with the hospital construction as well as looking at the feasability of further collaborations with the Pakistan Medical Association and transitioning Midland Doctors Association UK’s response to the flood disaster into the rebuilding phase.
