Derby Fundraising Success

by | May 17, 2014 | Fund Raising, News & Events

Over £75,000 has been raised during a fabulous evening of fundraising at The Spot in Derby on 17th May. This was one of our most successful fundraising events to date and all the Trustees are extremely moved by the level of support that has been shown.

The event was being held in memory of Mrs Irshad Begum, the mother of our Trustee Ajaz Najib, who passed away in 2013.

Mrs Irshad Begum was an advocate of the work of Midland Doctors and supported the charity both financially and through her belief in their principles. At the fundraising event we celebrated her life, remembered her valued support and continue the work that she sincerely believed in.

The Midland Doctors’ mission is to Impact health care in Pakistan for the poor and less privileged.

In 2013 Midland Doctors inaugurated their Medical Institute and Centre of Excellence in Muzaffarabad, Kashmir. The free health service they deliver to those in need can only be sustained with generous and continual donations from our supporters.

Mrs Begum believed in building hope for humanity and throughout the evening, we honoured her.

A large thankyou goes to everyone who contributed their time and resources to making the evening the wonderful success that it was.

How can I help Midland Doctors®?

We are always in need of donations to help run our charity hospital in Muzaffarabad whilst also participating in many other charitable projects across the world. Of course, not all contributions are monetary. Your time and effort to help fundraise, manage and drive our organisation forward will always be welcomed and appreciated!
